Immersion

An underused indoor pool is transformed into a new wellness space that responds to the owners’ current needs. New functions are introduced into the existing volume, including a steam sauna, a heated swimming pool, a cold plunge pool, and a Finnish sauna placed along the façade, whose glazing connects the interior with the exterior and opens the wellness area to the garden. Inserting the steam sauna directly into the pool hall also made it possible to use its roof as a lounge and relaxation area. The design works with a natural material palette of stained wood, Yuki Japanese tiles, translucent materials, and earthy tones, which together create a calm and intimate atmosphere. Greenery and recycled PlasticGuys boards further enrich the space, adding another layer of contemporary and sustainable thinking to the design. The result is a private wellness retreat that feels less like a technical facility and more like a quiet oasis of rest.
